The Utah Pig Bus respects the privacy of our guests, supporters, website visitors, and community members. This policy describes what this website actually collects today.

Information we collect

When you send a message through a form on this site (the contact form, or the Perform and Supporters inquiry forms), we collect what you type: your name, email address, and message, plus any optional details you choose to add such as phone, company, act, a link, or dates. We also record the date and time and your browser’s user-agent string to help spot spam.

If you send a merch order request, we also collect the items you chose and your shipping address so the crew can confirm your total and have the order printed and shipped. Your shipping details are shared with our print-on-demand partner only to fulfil your order. While you shop, your in-progress order is saved in your own browser (local storage) so it survives a refresh; it is not sent anywhere until you submit it.

If you email the crew or send us photographs or videos, we receive whatever you send.

We do not request sensitive personal information, and you do not need to give us anything to browse the site.

What this website does not use

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, or tracking pixels, and it does not use browser storage to follow you. There is no account or login. If that changes, we will update this policy first and offer any choices the law requires.

Services that handle your information

  • Render hosts the website. Like any web host, it may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, pages requested, and time) for security and operations.
  • Supabase stores messages submitted through the site’s forms in a database that only the crew’s server can access.
  • Resend delivers those messages to the crew by email.
  • Google Fonts supplies the site’s typefaces, so your browser connects to Google to download them.
  • Links to Instagram, Facebook, GoFundMe, Google Maps, and Utah Athletics take you to sites with their own privacy practices.

How we use it

We use information to respond to inquiries, coordinate events, performances, and supporters, communicate relevant information, improve website functions, and protect against security threats, spam, and abuse.

Marketing

We do not currently send newsletters or promotional texts. If we ever do, we will do so with appropriate consent or other lawful basis and provide legally required opt-outs.

Sharing

We do not sell guest contact lists or personal information. We may share information with the service providers listed above as needed to run the site, at a person’s direction, or when reasonably required by law.

Photography and events

Event-related images and recordings are covered by the Photography & Media Policy. Requests relating to images published on our owned channels can be sent through the contact form.

Children

Our website is directed to a general audience, not specifically to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek children’s personal information without required authorization.
